Automatic recalculation of subsidies: who has had their benefits stopped?
In Ukraine, an automatic transfer of housing subsidies was implemented, resulting in thousands of people losing the opportunity to receive this state aid. However, some of them can still resume their payments.
This was stated by the head of the housing subsidy department of the Main Department of the PFU in the Rivne region, Natalia Leshchenko, during a broadcast on “Ukrainian Radio. Rivne”.
The automatic transfer took place on May 1 to renew the right to receive housing subsidies for the upcoming heating season. As a result of this process, more than 12,000 households in the Rivne region lost their subsidies.
In particular, this applies to families with overdue utility service debts exceeding three months.
However, many citizens can still submit new applications to the Pension Fund of Ukraine. This is relevant for persons who received assistance as internally displaced persons, according to a rental agreement, or for those whose number of people living in housing is less than the registered number.
Recall that we previously reported on new mechanisms for calculating pensions, which may affect payments, as well as how compensation for the “baby package” will affect subsidies.
