Zaporizhzhia under attack by KABs: destroyed houses and gas pipeline
Russian troops dropped a guided aerial bomb on one of the districts of Zaporizhia. As a result of the attack, at least seven private houses were destroyed, and dozens were damaged.
Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration, made this report. The attack took place on June 9, as a result of which a gas pipeline was also damaged. Currently, one person is known to have been injured.
“The enemy strike on a peaceful settlement was carried out with guided aerial bombs. This is undeniable terror against the civilian population,” Fedorov noted.
That same night, Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 479 out of 499 air targets. According to the Air Force command, among the downed were 277 Shahed attack drones, ten Kh-101 cruise missiles, four Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, two Kh-31P anti-radar missiles, and one Kh-35 cruise missile.
Another 183 drones and two Kh-22 missiles have not yet been located; clarification of their location is ongoing. As a result of the attack, hits were recorded in ten places, and debris fell in another 17.
In addition to Zaporizhia, Russian troops attacked the Rivne, Kyiv, and Cherkasy regions.
Rivne region
The main blow was delivered to the Rivne region, in particular the cities of Dubno and Rivne. The attack was carried out by dozens of attack drones and missiles, presumably of the “Dagger” type, and cruise missiles launched from Tu-95MS aircraft. In Rivne district, one civilian was injured, and a civilian infrastructure facility was also damaged. Explosions were reported in Dubno and Rivne, and air defense forces were activated.
Kyiv and Kyiv region
In Kyiv, debris damaged an office building in Darnytskyi district. Rescuers are working on the scene, and details of the extent of the damage are being clarified. In the Kyiv region, debris from downed targets damaged two private houses, a car, and an outbuilding in the Boryspil district. There were no civilian casualties, and critical infrastructure was not damaged.
Cherkasy region
The Cherkasy region also suffered damage from falling debris after air defense operations. At least eight private houses, several garages, and a private enterprise canteen were damaged, along with several cars. A fire broke out in a two-hectare area of the forest, which was successfully extinguished. There were no casualties.
It is worth noting that on June 8, a massive night attack took place, during which more than 490 strikes were launched on the Zaporizhia region, and dozens of drone attacks were carried out.
