Accident on a cable car in Kyiv: 14-year-old teenager injured
An incident occurred in Victory Park in Kyiv, during which a 14-year-old teenager fell from a rope course. This incident occurred at approximately 2:40 p.m. in the Dnipro district. The boy fell from a height of roughly 1.5 meters while riding the attraction.
He was hospitalized with injuries at a medical facility, where doctors provided him with the necessary assistance. An investigative and operational police group is working at the scene, conducting an inspection and clarifying all the circumstances of the incident.
This case was entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under Article 271 of Part One of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which pertains to the violation of labor protection rules. This article provides for administrative fines or punishment in the form of restriction of liberty for a term of up to two years, corrective labor, or probationary supervision.
According to journalists, the injured boy weighed about 130 kilograms and was about two meters tall. However, this attraction has a user weight limit of 125 kg or less. Currently, it is unknown how he was allowed to pass the track, as witnesses report that the individual genuinely wanted to try the attraction. The endurance limit of the ropes will enable fluctuations of up to 10 kg per excess weight. The fall led to the injury of the teenager.
