Серед звільнених багато військових, які перебували в полоні з 2022 року

Among those released are many military personnel who had been held captive since 2022

Ukraine has successfully returned another group of servicemen from Russian captivity, marking the fourth exchange in a week.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that most of those released were officers, including young soldiers under the age of 25. Some of them had been in captivity since 2022.

Representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the State Border Service, and the State Special Transport Service returned home.

“We continue to return our people. This happens regularly, and we remember everyone who is in captivity. Our goal is to free everyone,” Zelenskyy said.

Among those returned, the oldest is 63 years old, and the youngest is 21 years old.

In addition, on June 14, the bodies of another 1,200 dead, including service members, were transferred.

This process was made possible by the agreements between Ukraine and Russia reached on June 2 in Istanbul. Today, another stage of repatriation was carried out, and the Russian side confirmed that the returned bodies belonged to Ukrainian citizens.

Zelensky also announced the launch of a prisoner exchange process that will last several days. A group of those released, including young people and the wounded, has already returned home.
