A Kyiv resident who became Putin’s representative has real estate in Russia, the UAE and France worth $88 million
The family of Kirill Dmitriev, the CEO of Russia’s sovereign wealth fund, owns significant real estate assets valued at around 7.5 billion rubles (over $88 million).
Dmitriev, who serves as the Russian president’s special representative for economic cooperation with other countries, participated in the February 2025 US-Russia talks in Saudi Arabia. His life partner, Natalia Popova, is a close friend of the Russian president’s daughter, Ekaterina Tikhonova, and works as Tikhonova’s deputy at the Innopraktika Foundation.
Popova actively influences Russian television and maintains friendly relations with celebrities, making her a significant figure in the country’s media landscape.
Before the start of his public career, the value of his assets was 420 million rubles. Still, over time, while performing his duties at the Russian Institute of International Relations, this figure increased significantly. Among the new properties are prestigious apartments in Moscow, such as “The City of Capitals” and Neva Towers, as well as expensive country houses on Rublyovka.
In 2019, the Dmitrievs purchased several neighboring apartments in the center of Moscow, located on Malaya Bronnaya, for 1.8 billion rubles, as well as real estate in the French region, specifically on the Côte d’Azur. Their portfolio also includes a villa in Cap d’Antibes, valued at € 6.5 million, and a luxury apartment in Paris. Additionally, two luxury apartments with an area of 980 m² are registered in Dubai for Dmitriev’s father.
Financial ties of Dmitriev’s father
Kyril’s father, Alexander Dmitriev, is also involved in the development of family assets, being responsible for the creation of the offshore company Giscono Holdings, through which financial transactions were carried out. One of them was the purchase of securities, resulting in a profit of 45 million euros.
Unacceptable conflict of interest
According to journalists, during his time in public service, Kirill Dmitriev significantly increased the value of his assets – from 420 million to 7.5 billion rubles – which indicates a low degree of transparency in his activities. Over the past two years, his income was 660 million rubles.
Dmitriev is also known for his involvement in controversial projects in Ukraine, particularly through the “Olympic Park,” where investors suffered from illegal actions, resulting in the suspension of construction.
Kremlin strategy and Dmitriev’s foreign relations
Despite numerous investment successes, Kirill Dmitriev remains a significant figure in Russian politics. His participation in negotiations with the United States and promotion of the Kremlin’s interests in the international arena enabled him to maintain a significant position. According to experts, he is manipulating international relations, using business opportunities to create the appearance of a constructive dialogue with the West.
