Fierce fighting on the border of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions
On June 21, DeepState analysts noted an intensification of Russian military activity in several areas of the front, including areas near Toretsk (Donetsk region) and on the border with the Dnipropetrovsk region. The occupiers are trying to gain a foothold in new positions.
In the Toretsk direction, enemy advances were recorded in the Oleksandro-Kalynovye area, and they also tried to gain a foothold between it and Katerynivka. This poses a threat to Ukrainian troops in the vicinity of Shcherbynivka and Petrivka and may affect logistical routes to Kostyantynivka.
Fighting also continues near Yablunivka, and Russian troops from the Zori and Romanivka directions are advancing on Katerynivka. North of Toretsk, hostile activity was observed between the settlements of Dachne and Diliivka, which increases the risk of encircling the city.
The spokesman for the Joint Forces of Ukraine, “Khortytsia” Viktor Tregubov, said that with the current losses of Russian forces, the issue of reaching the administrative border of the Donetsk region is currently unattainable. According to him, Ukrainian analysts have calculated that at the current pace of the enemy’s advance, taking into account the huge losses, the situation is challenging.
In the Novopavlivske direction, tension also persists. Russian troops have partially advanced in the vicinity of the villages of Shevchenko, Novoukrainka, and Odradne, which are close to the border with the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Fighting has also intensified near Komari and Kotlyarivka, which are located a few kilometers from the administrative border with the Dnipropetrovsk region, as the enemy seeks vulnerable spots in the defensive lines and attempts to make breakthroughs.
