PrivatBank introduces a fee for delivering new cards to customers.

PrivatBank, the largest state-owned bank in Ukraine, announced changes to its card issuance policy. Starting from January 1, 2026, customers who are accustomed to receiving new cards for free due to loss or expiration will now be required to pay for this service. The delivery fee is 80 hryvnias, including VAT, and applies to both Ukrainian and international customers. Cards will continue to be delivered through bank branches or Nova Poshta post offices.

Scandal with housing and communal services tariffs in Ukraine

Ukraine is experiencing a tariff scandal involving the overpricing of housing and communal services by most suppliers. As a result of inspections conducted by state authorities, it was found that 86 companies, or 88% of the total, violated the rules for tariff formation. Violators are required to refund more than 1.1 million hryvnias to consumers, with the majority of violations related to tariffs for water supply and sewage services.

Supplements for single pensioners in Ukraine

The state has introduced new financial support for single pensioners who need constant assistance. According to the law, this category of persons is entitled to a monthly supplement of 40% of the minimum pension. Given that the current minimum pension is 2,361 hryvnia, the monthly supplement in 2025 will be 944 hryvnia.

Mobilization in Ukraine: new instructions from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces

General Oleksandr Syrsky, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, announced that mobilization should not cause panic in society. During a meeting with journalists, he stressed the importance of conducting checks in territorial recruitment centers, which will help identify individuals who have not yet participated in combat operations. Syrsky expressed hope for effective mobilization under the leadership of the new Commander-in-Chief of the Ground Forces.

Prospects for gasoline price hike in Ukraine

Experts warn of potential risks to shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, which could lead to increased gasoline prices in Ukraine. Given the tense situation in the Middle East, ensuring the safety of oil transportation is becoming more difficult, which may directly affect the cost of fuel at Ukrainian gas stations. According to experts, gasoline prices have already begun to rise, although the increase in the world market has not yet been fully reflected in local prices.
