Promised a profession for 4 thousand dollars: head of court security detained in Lviv region

The State Bureau of Investigation detained the head of the Territorial Department of the Judicial Protection Service in the Lviv region. The operation was carried out with the support of the internal security of the National Police, during which his accomplice was also detained.

According to investigators, the official offered his acquaintance help in finding a job in one of the law enforcement agencies in the Lviv region. He assured me that he had the necessary contacts within the leadership and would be able to provide not only a job but also further career growth opportunities.

For his services, the official demanded $4,000, of which $3,000 was planned to be paid immediately, and the remaining $1,000 was to be paid after he received a higher position.

When it became clear that the acquaintance would not be able to be placed in the promised agency, the official offered an alternative option – a place in the Judicial Protection Service, again assuring rapid career growth and favorable conditions. The amount of the reward remained unchanged.

Both suspects were detained during the implementation of this scheme. The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement officers are examining all aspects of the case, including potential other cases of bribery.

It should also be noted that the State Bureau of Investigation has uncovered a scheme for the illegal transfer of conscripted men across the border to Moldova, the organization of which involved the head of a group from one of the law enforcement agencies of the Odessa region.
