Summer will not be without “surprises”: utility companies plan new tariffs

In Ukraine, tariffs for gas, electricity, and some other utilities currently remain unchanged. However, this summer will not do without specific changes in tariffs.

In Lutsk, an intention to increase tariffs for garbage collection for residents of apartments and private houses was announced. The city council announced details of the tariff changes.

According to the new proposals, the cost of the service for residents of apartment buildings and single-family homes may increase from UAH 55.26 to UAH 61.16 per month per person. This means that the price of garbage collection will increase by UAH 5.90.

Private homeowners will also feel the increase in cost, as the tariff may rise from UAH 56.57 to UAH 62.89.

These changes will not bypass the residents of villages that are part of the Lutsk territorial community. For residents of apartments in towns, the cost may rise from UAH 35.24 to UAH 39.30. Owners of private households in the village may also pay more – from UAH 37.88 to UAH 42.09.

The final decision on increasing tariffs will be considered at a meeting of the executive committee of the Lutsk City Council, scheduled for July 16, 2025.

It was previously reported that Ukrainians are forced to pay for heating even in the hot summer months, and experts have revealed the topic of inflated electricity prices in bills. New measures are also planned regarding debtors for utility services.
