The euro exchange rate in Ukraine has set a historic low
The dollar exchange rate in Ukraine continues to decline while the euro reaches record levels.
According to minfin.com.ua, as of the morning of June 27, the average selling rate of the dollar decreased by 5 kopecks to UAH 41.75, while the euro exchange rate increased by 15 kopecks to UAH 49.05.
In exchange offices, the dollar is bought on average for UAH 41.25 and the euro for UAH 48.15.
On the interbank market, the exchange rate today is UAH 41.57-41.60 per dollar (buy-sell), which is 1 kopeck less than the day before.
Official exchange rate
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has again reduced the dollar exchange rate to the hryvnia. The euro exchange rate has reached a new historical maximum.
On June 27, 2025, the official exchange rate is set at UAH 41.5852 per dollar (a decrease of UAH 0.0768), and the euro will be UAH 48.638 (+ UAH 0.3142). Earlier, on June 25, the previous maximum was recorded at UAH 48.5084.
Euro-dollar exchange rate
The US dollar was recorded near its lowest level in 3.5 years against the euro. The euro fell to $1.16885 after reaching $1.1745 the day before, which is the highest level since September 2021.
Following the stabilization of the Israeli-Iranian conflict, the market is now focused on US monetary policy. The new head of the Federal Reserve, whom US President Trump plans to appoint, maybe softer compared to Jerome Powell, which increases the likelihood of a decrease in interest rates.
Trump has repeatedly criticized Powell and advocated for a rate cut this year, raising concerns among investors about the Fed’s independence.
It is worth noting that, as of June 1, 2025, Ukrainian banks will change the rules for financial transfers, specifically reducing the monthly limit on outgoing transactions for high-risk clients.
