The third season of the series ”Wednesday” has been officially confirmed

The series “Wednesday” will receive a third season, director Tim Burton confirmed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. According to Burton, working on the TV project was a new experience for him, and his heroine is interesting and unusual.

“I had no previous experience in television, so I wanted to create something with a longer format. And the heroine herself is very unconventional,” Burton noted.

The first part of the second season will be released on August 8 on the Netflix platform.

Jenna Ortega, who plays the role of Wednesday Addams, said that she felt an even deeper connection with the character, and also noted that the second season will be larger, with new actor Steve Buscemi in the cast.

Netflix is also considering the possibility of creating a spin-off, although these plans are still only in the development stage.

The plot of Wednesday focuses on Wednesday Addams, the daughter of the famous Addams family. She attends the Nevermore Academy, where teenagers with various abilities learn their talents, while the heroine investigates a series of mysterious murders and uncovers the secrets of her family.
