The court ruled to arrest People’s Deputy Kuznetsov with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of UAH 8 million

The judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court partially granted the request of the NABU detective regarding the people’s deputy Oleksiy Kuznetsov. He was assigned a preventive measure in the form of detention with the possibility of posting a bail of 8 million hryvnias.

The Anti-Corruption Center reported this.

In addition to the arrest, the court also imposed several obligations on the deputy:

to appear when summoned by the detective, prosecutor, or court;
to report a change of residence or work;
to submit documents for traveling abroad;
not to leave the borders of Kyiv and the Kyiv region;
to wear an electronic bracelet.
It was previously reported that the NABU and the SAPO had uncovered a large-scale corruption scheme related to the procurement of uncrewed aerial vehicles and electronic warfare equipment. The Center confirmed Kuznetsov’s participation in this case.

The deputy is a member of the “Servant of the People” faction, but his membership will be suspended during the investigation.

Recall that earlier it was reported about the corruption scheme discovered by the NABU and SAPO, which involved inflating prices for defense purchases – from electronic warfare systems to FPV drones for the National Guard. According to the investigation and expert analysis, the deputy, heads of military administrations, and officials of the National Guard organized a “kickback” mechanism that allowed receiving up to 30% of the cost of contracts.
