When can a person with a deferment from mobilization be arrested?

A citizen with a valid deferment from mobilization, who the territorial recruitment center wants for refusing to appear for a summons, may be detained during a document check.

A man who has a deferment but is also being sought by the CCC has contacted lawyers. He asked if he could be detained at a checkpoint during a document check.

“You can be detained and taken to the CCC and the SP,” the expert explained.

Mobilization: is it possible?

Regarding fines

During mobilization and martial law in Ukraine, most men with a deferment can travel abroad, but not all categories of deferment are eligible. For example, men under 18 and over 60, as well as those who are entitled to a deferment, can cross the border. At the same time, the documents required for this vary. “Students are not subject to mobilization, but they are prohibited from traveling abroad. The rules for crossing the border specify who has the right to travel during a state of martial law. It is recommended to familiarize yourself with official documents that describe in detail the requirements and conditions for travel,” emphasized Maria Ganina.
