Laminate, brushes and shoes: using nail polish remover

Every woman has nail polish remover, but few know that it can also be used for numerous household tasks.

Acetone, the active component of this liquid, can dissolve dirt, glues, paints, and markers, although you should remember about its aggressive effect. Before using it, you should first test it on an inconspicuous area, work in a well-ventilated area, and avoid inhaling fumes.

This product effectively removes stains from tiles, laminate, and tables – wipe it with a damp cloth. To remove sticky marks from labels on dishes or appliances, hold a cotton pad with the liquid over them for a few seconds. It copes best with dirt on glass, ceramics, and metal.

Brushes contaminated with dried paint can be saved by soaking them in the liquid for 15-30 minutes, then washing with soap (this is not suitable for natural bristles). If the nail polish has thickened, add 2-3 drops of liquid and shake well, but be careful not to overdo it.

Marker marks on plastic surfaces or furniture can be easily removed with a cotton swab. Paint stains on carpets can be removed by dampening the area with a cloth soaked in acetone and then rinsing with soapy water. Ink from clothing or leather can be removed by soaking the stain and cleaning the item.

Scratches or shoe marks on tiles or laminate also disappear after careful wiping with a damp disc. However, again, it is essential to test on a hidden area first.

It is worth noting that acetone is flammable, so it is better to keep it away from fire and children. If you are careful, this ordinary nail polish remover will be an ideal helper for quick cleaning.
