Weather in Ukraine on Independence Day: thunderstorms and rain
On August 24, Independence Day, the weather in Ukraine promises to be changeable. Rain with thunderstorms will be observed in many regions.
According to the forecast of the Ukrhydrometeorological Center, cloudy weather with precipitation is expected in the north and west of Ukraine.
Rain and isolated thunderstorms will make their way through Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Volyn, Lviv regions, and Prykarpattia. Heavy showers are possible in the west.
In the central regions, short-term rains with thunderstorms should also be expected. In the east and south, the weather will remain warm with clearings, but in some areas, light precipitation is possible.
The air temperature during the day will vary from +21 to +26 degrees, and in the south and east, up to +30. In the Carpathians, the temperature will drop to +17…+20 degrees.
Forecasters recommend being careful on the roads, avoiding being outside during thunderstorms, and taking possible squalls into account when planning outdoor walks.
