Kirill Vyshinsky, executive director of ”Russia Today”, has died
The death of journalist and executive director of the Russia Today media group, Kirill Vyshinsky, was discovered in Moscow. Russian sources confirmed information about his death.
According to reports, Vyshinsky died after a long illness.
It is known that he previously headed the Ukrainian representative office of RIA Novosti, a news agency. In 2018, he was detained by the Security Service of Ukraine on suspicion of forming a pro-Russian network and treason.
According to the Myrotvorets website, in 2014, Vyshinsky worked in Crimea, where he collaborated with journalists who supported the annexation of the peninsula by Russia. For this activity, he received the Russian Federation state award “For the Return of Crimea”.
After his arrest, Vyshinsky spent more than a year in custody. In August 2019, he was transferred to Moscow as part of a prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia.
After returning to Russia, Vyshinsky became the executive director of “Russia Today”.
It is also reported that Alexander Milonov, brother of the State Duma deputy of the Russian Federation, Vitaly Milonov, was killed during the war with Ukraine. Russian media published information about his death. Alexander joined the intelligence of the “Third Combined Arms Army of the LPR” more than a year ago, fighting against Ukraine. After being wounded, he was transferred to the medical service, but his health deteriorated, as a result of which he died in the hospital from complications.
