Blogger Rusalochka XL was fined UAH 4.8 million for advertising a casino
The State Agency for Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries PlayCity imposed a fine of 4.8 million hryvnias on blogger Rusalochka XL for violating the law when advertising an online casino. The agency’s press service published the relevant information.
In August, the blogger published a video in which she claimed that gambling helps improve mood and concentration. She also talked about her alleged winnings and added a link to the casino’s website.
“During the inspection, it turned out that the blogger is not registered as a player at the casino she is advertising. Her winning story was fabricated, and the content was created to promote an illegal gambling business,” PlayCity noted.
The agency emphasized that the influencer violated the legislation on gambling advertising, and the penalties are aimed at preventing similar cases in the future.
Experts point out that casino advertising on social networks is becoming increasingly common, especially among bloggers with large audiences. The regulator continues to monitor such cases actively and promises to respond decisively to violations.
