Lawyer and volunteer Kryshtafovich emphasized that language is the code of a nation and a matter of survival

Volunteer and lawyer Orest Kryshtafovich, who is also the deputy head of the Ukrainian Team headquarters, expressed the opinion that the Ukrainian language is one of the most persecuted in the world.

He noted that throughout its history, the Ukrainian language has faced more than 60 attempts to ban it. Among them are the Valuev Circular and the Ems Decree, as well as periods of Soviet Russification, when Ukrainian books, educational institutions, theaters, and even songs were banned.

Kryshtafovich emphasized that language is not just a tool for communication. It is an essential element of the national identity that our ancestors fought for. According to him, the issue of protecting the Ukrainian language is critically important and is not limited to just fashion or the political situation—it is a matter of the survival of the nation.
