Money at risk: Oschadbank gave customers a deadline until September 30
Sberbank requests that its clients update their personal data and withdraw funds from “forgotten” accounts.
According to the official announcement, this must be done by September 30, 2025. We are referring to current and deposit accounts that have not had any transactions carried out over the past three years.
Clients need to visit a bank branch with their passport and identification number. The bank emphasizes that updating data is mandatory, as this applies not only to receiving funds but also to confirming their identity.
If this requirement is neglected by the end of September, clients’ money will be transferred to the category of “fixed deposits”. Additional fees will appear for such accounts, in accordance with the current tariffs:
fee for servicing fixed current accounts in the national currency;
fee for maintaining fixed deposit accounts, the owners of which have not been identified or have provided incomplete data.
The exception to this rule will be accounts from which partial payments in inheritance cases have already been made.
Therefore, customers are advised not to postpone a visit to the bank to avoid additional costs and preserve their financial savings in full.
Previously, Oschadbank warned that funds were disappearing from pension accounts, as well as about blocking social accounts for specific reasons.
