Domestic violence and possible abuse: details of the Temlyak case
Against the backdrop of allegations of domestic violence, Konstantin Temlyak remains on the list of nominees for the Golden Spinning Top Award. Anastasia Solovyova’s lawyers have already conducted the first investigative actions.
Photographer Anastasia Solovyova (Chornobai) has been designated as a victim in criminal proceedings against actor Konstantin Temlyak.
This was reported by the law firm representing Solovyova.
Several investigative actions have already been carried out, and the police have received materials that may confirm the facts of violence against Anastasia, as well as other serious violations, including the possible corruption of a minor.
However, Konstantin Temlyak remains on the list of nominees for the Golden Spinning Top Award. He was shortlisted in the Best Actor category for his work in the film “BozheVilny”.
The law firm drew attention to the fact that the Ukrainian Film Academy’s behavior demonstrates double standards, recalling the 2022 case in which director Serhiy Loznytsia was expelled from the academy without a court decision, solely due to his political views. Instead, accusations of systemic violence currently remain without a proper response.
The law firm emphasized that this is an essential moment for the film industry, because violence is not only a criminal offense, but also a reputational stain that should influence decisions. They believe that the Ukrainian Film Academy should clearly speak out against violence.
The company also called on women in the cultural and media spheres to publicly speak out against the silencing of violence.
Anastasia Solovyova, Temlyak’s former partner, previously shared information that the actor resorted to physical and psychological violence for four years. She published photos, videos, and fragments of his threatening correspondence.
Later, Solovyova learned that his other ex-girlfriends had similar negative experiences in relationships with him.
Konstantin Temlyak admitted his guilt, confirming Solovyova’s words, and publicly apologized to everyone affected. He noted that he had had several “mentally unhealthy” relationships and regretted the way he was before.
His current wife, actress Anastasia Nesterenko, assures that there was no violence in their marriage. She emphasized that she is responsible only for her actions and urged not to send her hatred, hoping for recognition of her words.
It has also recently been reported that Christine Cabot, the former HR director of the IT company Astronomer, has filed for divorce from her husband, Andrew, following a scandal involving the company’s CEO, Andy Byron.
