Protein supplements, diet and haircuts: ways to overcome brittle hair and hair loss
Soft and brittle hair is a concern that many women share. Its harmfulness is manifested in the lack of shine, tangling, and brittle ends, which are destroyed even by light combing.
The reasons for this situation can be varied, including genetic predisposition, aggressive dyes, frequent use of hairdryers and curling irons, improper care, or even strict diets. However, most of these factors can be controlled if you follow a few simple recommendations.
First, you should pay attention to the protein content of hair products. Although keratin is necessary, an excessive amount can create an impermeable film that prevents moisture absorption, resulting in even drier hair. It is recommended to alternate shampoos and masks with protein with moisturizing products.
Secondly, regular moisturizing is an important aspect. At least once a week, it is advisable to use nourishing masks or deep-acting balms. Look for natural ingredients such as shea butter, avocado, aloe, or glycerin in their composition. Apply the product not only to the length, but also to the scalp, so that nutrition comes from the roots.
Thirdly, be cautious when using hot tools. High temperatures can damage the hair’s structure, making it brittle and prone to breakage. Always use heat protection, reduce the temperature to 130-160°C, and avoid styling your hair immediately after using dry shampoo, as this can exacerbate dryness.
Fourthly, regular haircuts are also important. To avoid split ends, it is better to cut your hair every 6-8 weeks; otherwise, split ends will rise higher, forcing you to cut more.
And last but not least – nutrition. Hair suffers significantly from a lack of nutrients. It is recommended to consume fatty fish, nuts, and chia seeds, and also to monitor the sufficient intake of iron, zinc, and B vitamins. Avoid strict diets that can deplete the body and cause hair loss.

We have previously discussed how ordinary salt can be the secret to thick hair. Just add salt to your shampoo, and your hair will surprise you.
It is also worth paying attention to the potential damage that hair straighteners and curling irons can cause, which may affect the lungs and brain in just ten minutes of use.
