Tonya Matvienko may encounter judicial problems: the use of other people’s songs will turn into great costs, the composer warned about the risks

Ukrainian singer Tonya Matvienko faced serious legal problems. The reason was the performance of songs created for her late mother, Nina Matvienko, without obtaining the necessary copyright.

This information was published by the composer Yevgeny Rybchinsky, the son of the famous poet Yuri Rybchinsky, during the broadcast of the program “Balling themes”. He noted that the songs were written specifically for Nina Matvienko. He emphasized the importance of official rights to the works, saying that Tonya Matvienko did not share the same attitude as her mother.

Particular attention was paid to the composition “Oh, the wild geese flew”, authored by Igor Put. Rybchinsky added that the wife of the deceased composer has the right to go to court because musical rights belong to her.

“Tonya never participated in the concerts of the deposit, but sings his songs without permission. This cannot be seen as the norm. I warn: ‘Tonya, you are in danger.’ You need to find ways to solve this issue,” Eugene emphasized.

The current situation can lead to serious consequences for Matvienko, as her mother’s work can become the basis for lawsuits.
