Economics and Ecology: Business and Power Collaboration for Green Investment
The primary objective of this cooperation is to attract investments in environmentally friendly technologies and promote the development of “green” initiatives. This will not only preserve the environment but also increase the competitiveness of Ukrainian businesses in the global market.
New partnership
On September 23, 2025, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine, Gennady Chizhikov, and Deputy Minister Igor Zubovich signed a significant memorandum. Chizhikov noted that this is a step towards strengthening cooperation with the new composition of the Ministry, which is responsible not only for economic issues but also for protecting the ecology and the agro-industrial sphere.
“We start a new format of work to create a favorable business environment,” Chizhikov emphasized.
The essence of the agreement
The memorandum identifies key areas aimed at joining the efforts of the state and the private sector to achieve common goals. The main items include:
- Investing in “green” projects. It is about finding new sources of funding and innovative solutions for renewable energy development.
- Business Support. This enables companies to implement environmental standards and obtain international certifications, facilitating their entry into new markets.
- Education and raising awareness. It is planned to organize joint seminars, training sessions, and information campaigns to raise environmental awareness among entrepreneurs and the public.
Deputy Minister Igor Zubovich emphasized the importance of integrating environmental considerations into Ukraine’s investment policy. “We strive to create the conditions under which business will be able to receive economic benefits while maintaining the environment,” he said.
Collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce will help focus an effort on building a modern and ecologically sustainable economy capable of competing in the international arena.
