Fake booking scheme in Kyiv: $15,000 for fake employment

An illegal employment scheme organized by a resident was exposed in Kyiv. For a considerable sum, he promised men help in evading mobilization and leaving Ukraine.

The Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office reported this.

According to the investigation, the detainee offered “clients” to prepare documents that gave the right to a deferral from military service. Among his services were: removal from the wanted list, fictitious employment at an enterprise with a reservation, and entering data into the “Reserve+” application.

The man demanded $15,000 for his services. At the initial stage, he received an advance payment of $10,000. After that, he really removed one of the clients from the wanted list and registered him for work, which provided an opportunity to receive a deferral.

When the relevant information appeared in “Rezerv+”, the organizer took the remaining amount – $ 4,600, promising that in one or two months the client would be able to leave the country without hindrance with all the necessary documents.

At the moment, law enforcement agencies have opened criminal proceedings against the detainee. If his guilt is proven in court, he can be punished with imprisonment for a term of seven to nine years. The law also provides for the confiscation of all his property.

Prosecutors specializing in defense continue to expose criminal schemes related to bribery, illegal border crossing, and mobilization evasion. In the last two weeks alone, 46 people involved in such offenses have been recorded, with the total amount of bribes received amounting to almost 8 million hryvnias.
