Forecasters announced the arrival of true autumn in Ukraine after the shift of seasons
In Ukraine, autumn will begin on schedule, and numerous weather anomalies are still within the norm. This was stated in an interview by weather forecaster Natalia Didenko.
It is expected that a noticeable cooling will occur from the middle of next week, which is typical for autumn. Seasonal cycles remain unchanged, and general warming, according to the expert, is most often manifested during winter, which is marked by a low number of frosty days and the absence of snow cover.
“September stylishly demonstrates real autumn weather with a variety of atmospheric phenomena,” Didenko noted.
Commenting on the frequent fogs, the weather forecaster emphasized that light mist in the morning and at night in September and October is common and even “romantic.” Dense fogs, which can pose a danger in large cities, are usually observed later in November.
At the same time, the specialist focused on the topic of extreme weather phenomena – such as heavy rains, squalls, and tornadoes. According to her observations, their number has not increased this year: there were heavy rains and periods of heat, especially in the southern regions, and isolated tornadoes were also observed.
The weather forecaster also noted that snow fell in the Carpathians at the end of August, which is a natural phenomenon for a high-mountainous area. “The end of August is a transitional period from the summer season to the autumn season. At the top of Pop-Ivan, the temperature can already drop to zero, so at such altitudes, snow is an absolutely familiar sight,” she concluded.
