The electricity meter has returned to the beginning: what to do if you cannot transmit readings

Sometimes old electricity meters can revert to the initial indicator after reaching the “999” mark. This means the system does not accept data, even if it is up to date. DTEK explained how to act in such situations.

To solve this problem, you need to take a photo of the electricity meter, on which all the numbers, seal, and serial number are clearly visible. You should add your personal data to the image: personal account number, last name, first name, patronymic, address, and date of reading. All this data can be sent to the email address specified in the system in case of an error.

DTEK also offers a second option: transferring the indicators via private messages. The operator will manually enter the correct data, after which you will be able to continue submitting the indicators without any obstacles.

What to do if an error has already occurred in the transmitted data

The DTEK chatbot can re-enter the correct data if incorrect indicators were previously entered. The system will automatically consider the latest information. If the new indicators are lower than the previous ones or exceed the permissible limits, the chatbot will request confirmation via a photo of the meter.

The picture must clearly show the indicators, the device’s serial number, and the consumption zones for dual-zone meters (“Day-Night”). To check the updated information, you can contact the chatbot by going to the “Menu” section, then selecting “Send indicators” and indicating your address.

DTEK emphasizes that it is important to submit accurate data from the 30th to the 3rd of each month. This will allow you to pay only for the electricity actually consumed.

New rules for imposing fines were also announced, with penalties to be levied every 15 minutes for evaders.
