Холод у школах змусив батьків протестувати через уроки у верхньому одязі

The cold in schools has forced parents to protest over classes in outerwear

When it gets cold in homes or schools, people often feel powerless because staying silent only makes the situation worse. Students are forced to study in outerwear, feeling the cold at 9°C. This is precisely the situation in Pidvolochysk, where parents expressed concern about the lack of heating in schools.

Such a problem can arise in any settlement, both in a small village and in a large city. Delays in the start of the heating season or the indifference of local authorities are often the reasons. When the temperature outside the window drops and the batteries stay cold, it affects not only the children but the whole community. Someone in their home suffers from dampness and colds, and they usually cannot work or study.

Activist Iryna Cheremshinska shared her experiences in the “Overheard in Pidvolochysk” community. Her post sparked an outpouring of support because it concerns children’s health.

When the heating system is not working, there are two options: wait or join. Ukrainians have proven their ability to defend the right to decent living conditions. Therefore, the community turned to the mayor, demanding that he provide heat in educational institutions and monitor the fulfillment of the obligations assumed. After all, even the smallest community can change the situation if its voice is heard.

We will remind you that we previously said when the heating season would start in different cities of Ukraine. And also about how schools prepare for possible large-scale blackouts.

Information about how the subway, buses, and trams will work during the blackout is no less relevant.
