Українцям дали попередження про важку зиму: на що слід бути готовими

Ukrainians were warned about a severe winter: what should be prepared for

The Russian armed forces switched to a new attack tactic aimed at Ukrainian infrastructure, doubling their capabilities. Unstable conditions are expected this winter, as People’s Deputy Roman Kostenko reported during his speech on the “Topic from Moseichuk” program.

According to the deputy, innovations in tactics include targeted strikes not only on large power plants, but also on transformer substations located near populated areas. These actions leave people without electricity.

Kostenko also noted that Russia has significantly increased production of its Shahed kamikaze drones and launch platforms. While Ukraine is also strengthening its defenses, vulnerability to drone interception remains a problem.

“We are improving our capabilities to destroy the Shaheds. Recently, together with representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Digital Transformation, we visited the headquarters that fight against these drones. Although our work is actively conducted, it is complicated – Russia has been able to expand its capabilities significantly, and it is still difficult for us to catch up,” the deputy emphasized.

Moseychuk also noted the possible risks for Ukraine this winter if Russia tries to organize mass blackouts. In the face of constant attacks over the last three years, the country’s energy system has already shown signs of weakness.

“The state is ready for a difficult scenario. Reserve stations with battery capacities have been installed. People are morally prepared for possible difficulties… I think we will manage, but the question remains, what will this winter be like: difficult or very difficult?” Kostenko concluded.

In conclusion, he reminded that Russia’s strikes have already led to significant destruction of Ukrainian gas production, and that, according to preliminary estimates, Ukraine will need about 1.9 billion euros to cover fuel imports for the heating season.
