Up to UAH 20,000 for heating: who is entitled to “winter” support

In Ukraine, the deadline for submitting applications for 19,400 hryvnias in heating assistance has been extended. This information was published in the “Legal Advisor for IDPs”.

According to Decision No. 1250 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, applications for this financial assistance will be accepted until October 24, 2025. This program aims to support families living in high-risk areas by providing them with solid fuel, such as firewood or coal.

The case can be filed by those living in houses with a solid-fuel heating system.

Assistance is available to households that:

are at a distance of up to 10 km from the border with Russia or from the line of hostilities;

are in the territories where active or potential hostilities are taking place;

were subject to or are currently under temporary occupation.

Since resources are limited, the state has identified priority categories of recipients of financial assistance.

The project provides priority for:

recipients of housing subsidies or benefits for solid fuel;

single pensioners;

mothers or single parents;

large families;

families where there are persons with disabilities;

internally displaced persons;

foster families and family-type children’s homes.

All other applicants will also be eligible for assistance, subject to available funding.
