Cold and rain cover Ukraine: weather forecast for Saturday
On Saturday, October 18, the territory of Ukraine will be affected by a cyclone moving from the northwest. This atmospheric front will bring a cold snap, rain, and gusty winds. A drop in temperature and a change in weather conditions are expected in many regions.
Forecaster Natalka Didenko reported this on her Telegram channel.
According to her, only some regions in the south and east of the country will remain without precipitation today, particularly Kherson, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhia, Donetsk, Luhansk, and Dnipropetrovsk.
The most significant cooling will be observed in western Ukraine, where daytime temperatures will not exceed +8…+12 degrees. In other regions — the central, eastern, and southern — slightly warmer weather will still be observed, with a temperature of +12…+15 degrees. However, forecasters emphasize that this warmth will be short-lived and will stop today.
On Sunday night, the temperature will drop to +4…+10 degrees. Given the cloudiness, frosts are not expected, although even lower values are possible in the Carpathians.
In the western regions, stronger winds are forecast, with possible strong gusts.
In Kyiv, cloudy and wet weather is expected on October 18. The temperature will remain relatively comfortable, but rain may pass in the afternoon. The wind promises to be southwesterly, moderate, with sometimes strong gusts.
Earlier, the forecaster also reported the possibility of wet snow on the weekend.
In addition, meteorological autumn began in most regions at the end of September, when the average daily temperature dropped to about 15 degrees and remained below that level.
Expect changes in the weather, including possible night frosts in the eastern and southeastern regions. Temperatures will range from +2 to +14°C, with the warmest conditions during the day.
