Jamala presented a list of desired artists for the Eurovision 2026 National Selection
Jamala, the famous singer and winner of Eurovision 2016, unexpectedly shared her list of artists she would like to see among the Eurovision 2026 participants.
On her Telegram channel, she presented a list of both popular performers and those just starting to gain popularity. Among them: Yaktak, SHUMEI, Grisana, Kazhanna, KAZKA, Khrystyna Soloviy, Domiy, Maria Kvitka, the group “ШчукаРыба”, KLER, Dakh Daughters, Monokate, Vivienne Mort, and Drevo.
This diverse list spans a wide range of musical styles—from indie rock to ethnopop. Such a combination of talents could make the 2026 National Selection very bright and competitive.
Interestingly, Khayat was not on the list, although the performer has already announced his participation and is preparing his fourth attempt to stand in for the National Selection. His previous performances were distinguished by a combination of electronic music and Ukrainian ethno, making him recognizable.
Jamala did not mention Jerry Heil, who became popular on TikTok and has a chance of success in the upcoming selection, even without official confirmation of participation. These circumstances emphasize the influence of social networks on the music industry.
In comments on her choice, Jamala emphasized the importance of not only artists’ popularity but also the quality of their music and the sincerity of their performances. She stated that the Ukrainian scene is experiencing an upswing, and the National Selection can be an excellent opportunity for new talents.
This list confirms that Eurovision-2026 can become one of the most interesting competitions in recent years. Meanwhile, the first round of Grammy voting has begun, and Ukrainian singer Jamala is among the nominees.
