Rain, wind and cold snap: forecasters warn of worsening weather

On October 25, a significant deterioration in weather conditions is expected in Ukraine. In many northern, central, and southern regions, rain will fall, and thunderstorms are possible in some places.

According to weather forecaster Natalka Didenko and the Ukrhydrometcenter, precipitation will cover almost the entire country at night, and during the day it will remain more prevalent in the north and east. No precipitation is expected in other regions.

The wind will be observed from the west at a speed of 7-12 m/s, and gusts of up to 15-20 m/s are possible in the Carpathians.

The air temperature at night will fluctuate from +6 to +11 degrees, while in the west it will be cooler, +2…+7. During the day, the temperature will rise to +8…+13 degrees, and in the south to +17 degrees.

Wet snow is possible in the Carpathians at night, but significant precipitation is not forecast during the day. The temperature in the mountains will drop to zero at night, and during the day it will be +2…+7.

Rain is also expected in Kyiv. The wind will be pretty intense, from the west, and the temperature during the day will be within +8…+9 degrees. On Sunday, the temperature in the capital is expected to rise to +12…+13 degrees, and the rains will stop only in the evening.

On Monday, rain will cover most of Ukraine, except the western regions. The warmest days in Kyiv are expected on Thursday, October 23.
