New challenges are being prepared for pensioners: pensions are under threat

In Ukraine, the right to receive a pension based on length of service is determined by the number of accumulated insurance years. However, there are cases in which the workbook is lost or contains errors, making it difficult to confirm the length of service. In such situations, alternative methods of confirmation can be used.

The Pension Fund of Ukraine notes that the procedure for confirming the length of service depends on the period of work. For periods after January 1, 2004, the main document is the State Register of Insured Persons; before this date, confirmation is carried out through the workbook. Suppose the workbook is lost or contains inaccuracies. In that case, other documents can be used, such as certificates, personal account statements, salary data, written employment contracts, job descriptions, and trade union membership cards with notes on contributions.

A more complicated situation may arise if the enterprise where the applicant worked is in occupied territory or has been liquidated. In such cases, the length of service can be confirmed by the testimony of two colleagues who worked alongside the applicant. If corrections are made to the workbook and the enterprise is located in a temporarily occupied territory, the check is conducted by special commissions of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the regions and in Kyiv.

As for the preferential length of service associated with work in hazardous or complex conditions, confirmation can be provided only by official documents. If the enterprise is liquidated without a successor, the periods of work are established by commissions based on archival materials.

It is also worth paying attention to the latest news: the Pension Fund of Ukraine has introduced new requirements for the return of money for children, “froze” part of social payments, and also announced a one-time assistance for five categories of Ukrainians in the amount of 1200 to 2500 hryvnias.
