Berlin will hold an Invest Forum to attract financing for the reconstruction and development of Kyiv, – Klitschko
From November 12, an investment forum will be held in Berlin, aimed at raising funds for the reconstruction and development of the capital after the war. Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko announced this.
This year, the event will be held in Berlin, symbolizing renewal and innovation. The forum will discuss investments in infrastructure, the economy, and innovative projects, as well as the importance of social entrepreneurship in recovery.
Klitschko emphasized that Europe is interested in the prosperity of Ukraine; therefore, the motto of this year’s forum is “Investing in sustainability. We are shaping the future.”
“The Kyiv Investment Forum is bringing together leaders for the ninth time to form a common vision of recovery and sustainability, expanding cooperation with Brussels and now with Berlin. Our cooperation demonstrates the power of partnership; together we are more effective,” the mayor said.
We will remind you that the forum was founded in 2012. In 2022-2023, due to the war, the event was held in Brussels, at the invitation of Mayor Philippe Close. Last year, the forum attracted about 1.1 billion euros to support the stability and rapid recovery of Kyiv, and agreements were concluded with the EBRD on energy security.
