Kyivstar is changing the conditions: what steps to take to stay connected
On November 25, Ukrainians will receive good news from the mobile operator Kyivstar. The company is starting to replace 3G with modern 4G communication, which will cover six regions of Ukraine. This update promises to improve Internet speed and signal stability, although not all users will be able to take advantage of the new features.
The modernization process will cover parts of Zakarpattia, Chernivtsi, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Rivne, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. Thus, residents of these regions will be able to use high-speed Internet in a few weeks, as subscribers in Kyiv, Lviv, and Odessa experienced earlier.
Kyivstar notes that abandoning the old 3G technology will allow the network to be optimized and expand 4G capabilities.
Experts advise users to check whether their SIM card supports 4G and whether LTE is enabled in their smartphone’s settings. If your card is old, you can exchange it for free at the nearest operator’s branch.
The company assures that the changes will not affect the cost of tariffs. Thus, by the end of November, subscribers will be able to enjoy fast, uninterrupted Internet.
