The committee decided to dismiss Hrynchuk, who denies all allegations of illegality of the decisions

Against the backdrop of serious corruption allegations, the Verkhovna Rada Committee began considering the case of Svitlana Hrynchuk, who announced that she had decided to resign of her own free will.

On November 14, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy met to discuss the resignation of Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk. As MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak noted, the first item on the agenda was his address, which discussed the dismissal of the official due to suspicions of corruption and existing problems in the energy sector.

Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported that Svitlana Hrynchuk joined the meeting via online. She explained that her resignation was not due to suspicions or failures, but to pressure from information and media reactions. The minister noted that she was ready to cooperate with law enforcement agencies if necessary.

In a fragment of her speech, she noted: “I did not make any illegal decisions. I only carried out official instructions from the leadership. I thank all my colleagues. If there are any questions, I am ready to answer them.”

According to Zheleznyak, Grinchuk reported that during the appointment, she was interviewed only by the Prime Minister. She avoided answering questions about possible connections with Myronyuk.

Later, Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced that the Energy Committee supported the Prime Minister’s proposal to dismiss Svitlana Grinchuk from the post of Minister of Energy, citing a conflict of interest. Twenty-one members of the committee voted in favor of this decision.

The Verkhovna Rada will consider the resignation of ministers Herman Galushchenko and Svitlana Grinchuk on November 18, and it is expected that the deputies will easily adopt this decision.
