70 thousand dollars in cash and hectares of land: what is the new head of the Kharkiv region security police hiding?

In August, Oleg Antonyuk was appointed head of the Security Police Department in Kharkiv Oblast. He previously held a similar position in Sumy Oblast. His financial position over the past year has been quite impressive, with significant assets and a large amount of real estate, and he has no loans or obligations.

Antonyuk declared $70,000 in cash and $8,000 in an account at PrivatBank. He received 25,000 hryvnia in interest from accounts at Accordbank. His primary source of income was his salary, which amounted to 655,000 hryvnia per year, as well as 22,000 hryvnia for renting a land plot.

Antonyuk’s property includes a residential building with an area of ​​149.7 m² in the village of Pokrovka, Podilskyi district, Odessa region, purchased in 2006. He also owns two agricultural land plots in the same area: 5.8 hectares (as of 2016) and 1.97 hectares (as of 2022), for a total of ​​almost 7.8 hectares.

In addition, his report contains information about two apartments in Odessa. The first has an area of ​​41.2 m² and was purchased in 2017 for 540 thousand hryvnias. The second apartment has an area of ​​53 m². It is jointly owned with his wife and children, officially registered as a family in 2018 for a symbolic amount of 17 hryvnias, which may indicate privatization or inheritance.

In addition, a 2003 Toyota Corolla car was declared, purchased in 2007 for 80 thousand hryvnias.

Despite the presence of a family, none of its members are listed in the declaration. Also, the document does not mention any loans, borrowings, or other obligations.
