The start of the final season of ”The Stranger Things” set viewing records on Netflix

The first part of the final season of the series “Strange Miracles” was watched 59.6 million times in the first five days after its release. According to Variety, this is the highest figure among all existing English-language series on Netflix.

Among all premieres on the platform, the result of “Strange Miracles” is inferior only to the second and third seasons of the South Korean thriller “The Squid Game”.

The fifth and final season of “Strange Miracles” is divided into three parts. The first four episodes became available on November 26, the next three will appear on December 25, and the final series will be released on December 31.

The new season takes place in 1987 – a year and a half after the events of the fourth season. The city of Hawkins is now under military control, and Eleven, forced to hide, is being pursued. The central theme of the plot is the final battle between the heroes and the main antagonist, named Vekna.

The final episode of the first part received one of the highest ratings in the show’s history, with an IMDb rating of 9.6 out of 10. The same score was accepted by the seventh episode of the fourth season, entitled “The Hawkins Lab Massacre”.

It was also reported that British actor Callum Turner, known for his role in the series “Airborne”, has become bookmakers’ new favorite in the race to become the next James Bond.
