Formula 1 and fashion: Louis Vuitton expands partnership with Monaco Grand Prix
Louis Vuitton becomes the title partner of the Monaco Grand Prix, underlining its partnership with Formula 1.
Since launching its partnership with Formula 1 in 2021, Louis Vuitton has been stepping up its activities in this direction. From 2021 to 2024, the company was a partner of the Automobile Club of Monaco, and from 2025, it officially began its partnership with Formula 1. During this partnership, Louis Vuitton has accompanied a host of famous drivers, including Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez, Charles Leclerc, and Lando Norris.
Champions receive their awards in a specially designed trophy case, a Louis Vuitton trunk that is handmade. This case, made in a classic style with the legendary Monogram canvas, has the red and white colors of the Monaco flag, and the signature letter “V” symbolizes Vuitton and victory.
The brand is underlining its commitment to the Grand Prix, noting that this is the first time it has been named title partner of such a significant event. In 2026, Louis Vuitton will present its first trophy case for the sixth consecutive year, showcasing the brand’s more than 170 years of expertise in the art of travel.
Louis Vuitton will also be present on the track during the races with banners that will reflect the brand’s elegance in the world of speed racing.
It should be noted that the first Louis Vuitton car cases appeared at the end of the 19th century. The brand has since had the opportunity to create trophy cases for many major sporting events, including the Copa América, the FIFA World Cup™, the Ballon d’Or, and the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games to be held in Paris.
