The enemy changed the strategy of suicide attacks: Ukrainians were warned about a new threat from the air

Ukrainians are again being warned about the growing danger from the air. Russian radio-controlled drones “Shahed”, which are being modernized and receiving additional weapons over time, remain a serious threat. Although their strikes remain infrequent, experts emphasize that vigilance should not be lost. This was stated by Valery Yakovenko, co-founder of DroneUA.

According to Yakovenko, the enemy is actively testing new technologies and seeking to expand its area of impact. The use of radio-controlled equipment allows the occupiers to select targets more precisely, so it is essential to understand that each new drone launch may have different attack scenarios. It all depends on how quickly we can adapt and how effectively air defense will work at a particular moment.

The expert emphasizes that, despite the rarity of attacks by such drones, underestimating the enemy is a big mistake. He emphasizes that the main rule now is to respond to air alarms and to prioritize your own safety. Russia continues to aim to destroy Ukrainian cities and infrastructure, so neglecting security can be extremely dangerous.

Experts also focus on the new Shahed variant equipped with the R-60 missile, which complicates air defense operations. However, the drone’s additional weight makes it slower and therefore more vulnerable to being shot down. Mykola Malomuzh, former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, notes that although such drones are theoretically capable of targeting even helicopters, their maneuverability is significantly reduced, which creates opportunities for Ukraine to intercept them effectively.

Previous attacks indicate that the enemy will not stop there and will continue to experiment with new technologies. Therefore, it is crucial for the Ukrainian air defense not only to maintain the proper pace but also to stay actively ahead of threats. At the same time, the state is forced to strengthen its own defense industry, as future confrontations increasingly depend on technological factors.

It is worth noting that the number of missile attacks may increase, as Russia has accumulated enough weapons to carry out regular, massive strikes. Experts also warn of an increase in the speed of Russian missiles, which could pose an additional threat to Ukraine.
