Hourly power-off schedules to be introduced in Ukraine from January 1

Ukrainians are being warned about the introduction of temporary measures in the power system due to severe damage to infrastructure during the latest attacks by Russia.

From January 1, hourly power outage schedules will be implemented nationwide in Ukraine, according to Ukrenergo.

In addition, industrial consumers will also fall under power limitation schedules, a necessary step to stabilize the power system.

The main reason for such measures is the consequences of missile and drone attacks on energy facilities, which led to a shortage of electricity and difficulties in its distribution.

Energy experts note that the situation remains complex. The timing and duration of outages may vary depending on the state of the power grid and energy consumption levels.

Up-to-date information on outages for specific addresses can be found on the official websites and pages of the regional energy authorities in your region.

Citizens are also urged to consume electricity responsibly. During the current schedules, it is important to use electricity sparingly to reduce the load on the power system and avoid prolonged outages.

In this regard, Ukrainians will again have to adapt to power supply restrictions at the end of the year. On December 31, most regions will begin a corresponding regime of hourly outages for household consumers, as well as limits for businesses.

According to the plan, power outages will affect a significant part of Ukraine during the day.
