Up to 40% discount on goods: a new feature is introduced on OLX

A new function has appeared on the OLX classifieds platform – bargaining, which allows you to reduce the price of the product by up to 40% with the consent of the seller.

How bargaining works

Under the “Buy with delivery” button in the ads, a bargaining option lets the buyer make an offer. This offer is sent to the seller as a card in the chat, noting that it is relevant only to a specific buyer.

The seller can either accept the new price or make a counteroffer. After the deal is agreed, the “Buy with OLX delivery” button is updated to the latest price, and the usual delivery is made.

Discount restrictions

The maximum discount available under bargaining cannot exceed 40% of the original price. For example, if the product costs 100 hryvnias, the maximum reduction will be 40 hryvnias.

Interestingly, this new feature comes on the heels of Monobank’s launch of Monobazar, an OLX alternative integrated into its banking app. This service also specializes in selling used goods and offers automated bidding features, AI-powered ad placement, and the ability to raise funds to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Earlier, recommendations were published on the main “eaters” of electricity that imperceptibly affect the system when it is turned off.

It was also reported that a virus for Android smartphones was discovered that steals banking data. Experts advise users to be careful and download applications only from Google Play.
