Ukrainians were informed about new gas tariffs – up to UAH 25.80 per cubic meter
Gas supply companies have introduced new natural gas prices for household consumers, effective early January 2026.
Experts from the GazPravda center reported that eight suppliers are active on the market, offering both annual and monthly tariffs that differ significantly in price.
At the beginning of 2026, the primary trend is that annual tariffs remained unchanged, while monthly offers became cheaper. At the same time, monthly tariff prices vary significantly across companies, which may lead to overpayments for consumers who do not have an annual tariff.
In January 2026, the basic annual gas prices for the population range from 7.96 to 9.99 UAH per cubic meter. In particular, the most favorable price, 7.96 UAH, is offered by several suppliers, in particular, GC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” and “Ternopiloblgaz sales”. Prices at this level are also set by “Prykarpat Energo Trade” and “OKKO Kontrakt”. Slightly higher tariffs are set by “Lvivenergozbut” and “SvitloGaz”.
Monthly commercial tariffs, in turn, demonstrate a wide price range – from 8.46 to 25.80 UAH per cubic meter. YASNO companies in Kyiv and Dnipro present the most affordable tariffs. However, some suppliers have set prices that are almost three times higher than the basic annual tariffs, for example, “SvitloGaz” and “Lvivenergozbut”.
For most Ukrainians, the annual tariff remains the primary choice, while the monthly price is a separate commercial offer that may change depending on market conditions.
It should be noted that about 98% of households, or more than 12 million households, receive gas from the State Corporation “Naftogaz of Ukraine”, with an annual price of 7.96 UAH per cubic meter.
To avoid unexpected billing calculations, consumers are advised to check the tariff specified in their contract or personal account, and if necessary, clarify the details with their provider.
