Electricity restrictions introduced in Ukraine on January 14: warning from Ukrenergo
The National Power System Operator announced the introduction of restrictions on electricity supply throughout Ukraine on January 14. The outages will affect both household consumers and industry.
According to Ukrenergo, on Tuesday, January 14, hourly power outage schedules for the population and power consumption restrictions for industrial enterprises will continue to operate. These measures are necessary due to the consequences of large-scale attacks by Russian troops on Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities, which further affect the stability of the energy supply.
The restrictions will be in effect across all regions and will remain in place throughout the day. The company does not provide the exact number of queues available during outages and emphasizes that schedules may change depending on conditions in the energy system.
Energy experts urge consumers to regularly check the latest information, as the situation may change during the day. It is recommended to check the time and duration of outages at specific addresses on the official websites and pages of the regional energy companies in your region.
In addition, in Kyiv, to improve notification to the population about air raid alarms, the notification procedure is being updated. During power outages, traditional systems may experience interruptions, so law enforcement agencies use alternative communication channels.
In the absence of electricity, the capital’s law enforcement officers plan to inform Kyiv residents about the air raid alarm using loudspeakers.
