The subsidy will be granted only after these requirements are met: the Ministry of Social Policy explained the necessary actions

In Ukraine, recipients of housing subsidies with overdue utility service debts can reapply for assistance only after the debts have been fully repaid or an agreement to restructure them has been reached.

The Ministry of Social Policy reported that, after confirming the absence of debts, social protection bodies are obliged to decide within the time limits specified by law. They have up to 10 working days to verify the information and decide on the subsidy allocation. In the event of a delay in information regarding the repayment of utility debt, it is recommended to provide supporting documents independently to expedite the process.

If the decision to grant a subsidy is favorable, the assistance is assigned from the month the application is submitted, even if the debt is repaid later, provided the decision is made before the repayment. If the debt is liquidated only after the completion of the consideration, the subsidy will be assigned only from the following month.

It is important to note that the presence of debts does not deprive citizens of the opportunity to receive subsidies, but may suspend their eligibility. Those with debts are advised to regularly check their debt status, as information from utility companies may not be updated promptly.
