On January 17, an important sporting event took place in Vinnytsia – the regional judo championship for cadets under 18, which was dedicated to the “Timur Special Unit” of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. This tournament brought together young athletes from different regions, demonstrating the close connection between sport and patriotism.
The championship brought together about 200 participants from across the region, including teams from Shargorod, Murovany Kurylivtsi, Mogilev-Podilskyi, Illintsi, and the regional center.
The organization of the competition was ensured through the joint efforts of the GURT Foundation and the Vinnytsia Regional Judo Federation, which expressed gratitude for the opportunity to host the competition in partnership.
Representatives of the regional judo federation emphasized that the championship was held in an atmosphere of strength, honor, and mutual respect, which are essential for both sport and the defense of Ukraine.
An essential moment of the event was the presence of military serviceman Christian Udarov, who became an example of courage and indomitability for young athletes.
This tournament not only identified the region’s strongest athletes but also served as a symbol of support for Ukrainian soldiers and fostered patriotic spirit among young people.
