A scheme for illegal travel abroad worth €12,000 was established in the Rivne region

In the Rivne region, law enforcement officers have successfully uncovered a new scheme for the illegal smuggling of people across the border. A joint operation by officers of the 9th Border Guard Unit, police officers, and prosecutors, with the support of the Dozor-Zhytomyr special unit, led to the arrest of the organizers.

According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the criminals intended to smuggle two men of draft age abroad for 12,000 euros. They were detained while transferring the money, and all those involved are currently under investigation, with the possibility of criminal prosecution.

Law enforcement officers are continuing their investigation, identifying accomplices and other aspects of this criminal scheme.

It is also reported that two operatives of the Vinnytsia City Police Department are suspected of torture and causing serious bodily harm. As a result of the beating in September 2023, the victim received serious injuries, as a result of which he had to undergo surgery, and only after prolonged resuscitation was it possible to restore his heart rhythm.
