It is not necessary to contact the CCC: Ukrainians will have their deferral extended if they do not receive a summons in February
Graduate students in Ukraine have received positive news: now you can extend your deferral from mobilization without visiting territorial recruitment centers or TsNAPs. This became possible thanks to a new mobile application called “Reserve+”, which significantly simplifies the process for those studying in graduate school during martial law.
Previously, to extend the deferral, you had to visit various organizations and spend time on paperwork personally. Now, a few taps on the smartphone screen are enough. One of the graduate students approached a lawyer to check whether the system was working properly. Lawyer Yuriy Ayvazyan confirmed that there should be no problems, since study data is automatically read from the Unified State Electronic Database on Education (EDEBO).
In addition, the application can view the new expiration date of the deferral. This allows graduate students to see the current status and ensure their right to deferral remains valid.
Digitizing this process is an important step not only for increasing convenience. In wartime, the government is trying to reduce the administrative burden on those who continue to study and engage in scientific activities. Fewer queues and paperwork mean more time for writing dissertations, research, and training new specialists.
Thus, “Reserve+” becomes not just a military application, but also a tool that can make life easier for graduate students in these difficult times. If the program works stably, it is one of the rare instances when government services are simplified for citizens.
