How to extend the life of your charging station: three mistakes to avoid
A high-quality charging station can last a long time if used according to the recommendations. Often, problems with batteries arise not from device defects but from typical user errors. This was confirmed by a specialist in equipment repair on his social networks.
Given Russia’s regular attacks on energy infrastructure, charging stations have become indispensable for many families in Ukraine. At the same time, service centers note an increase in calls related to violations of basic operating rules.
Deep discharge – the enemy of the battery
One of the most common mistakes is completely discharging the device until it automatically turns off. If this happens systematically, the actual battery capacity is reduced. As a result, even a new or high-quality station can perform far below expectations, creating the impression of a “weak” model.
Improper storage
Another common mistake is storing the charging station at a low charge level. Prolonged discharge contributes to battery degradation, which, over time, can lead to capacity loss or unstable operation.
Continuous use
During long blackouts, charging stations often remain operational, powering multiple devices simultaneously. This mode of operation depletes the battery and reduces its resources. Even powerful models need time to rest to reduce the load on internal components.
Recommendations for extending the service life
Experts advise avoiding discharging to zero, regularly charging the station to full capacity, and not leaving it with a low charge level for a long time. It is optimal to store the battery in a dry, warm place, as sudden temperature fluctuations can negatively affect the battery.
