The expert spoke about the peacekeepers’ plans for the Gaza Strip and the reconstruction of Rafah.

In his blog, the expert shared information about plans to deploy peacekeepers to the Gaza Strip. According to his information, after the situation in the region stabilizes, 20,000 peacekeepers from Indonesia should arrive in Gaza. They will deal with ensuring order in the new city, which is planned to be built for 25,000 Palestinians with the support of the United Arab Emirates.

“At one of the meetings with the peaceful resolution of the situation, a vivid visualization was shown, where gigantic skyscrapers, huge bridges, roads, and other infrastructure objects were demonstrated. The city of Rafah, which had a population of 172,000 before the war, was also the subject of conversation,” the expert noted.

However, according to him, only 25,000 seats are planned for the reconstruction of Rafah. Instead of modern buildings, temporary structures for residents, similar to slums, will be erected here. It is noted that the United Arab Emirates has no intention of investing heavily in capital construction in the Gaza Strip as long as Hamas dominates there.

“So the plans for the peacekeepers show some level of control. They will perform security duties, ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid, but will not participate in the disarmament of Hamas, and will not enter their controlled territories. In this situation, we will defend peace only where it has already been achieved,” the expert emphasized.

In conclusion, he added that, within the framework of new agreements with the Russian side, similar peacekeepers could be deployed to establish peace in Kyiv.

In light of these events, the importance of peacekeeping missions in promoting stability in difficult regions emerges.
